Aaron Vonk is a Canadian-American artist who lives and works in San Francisco. Aaron's art reflects his current outlook on life, which changes by the minute. Sometimes it's dark and somber, other times it’s full of light and joy. It is almost always whimsical, with an edge of irony and humour.
Aaron sees art as a way of life; he has been drawing and sculpting since he was a child. He thinks in terms of images: Whenever he wants to explain something, he reaches for paper and pen. He uses drawings to simplify concepts and to detail complexities. If he has no paper, he uses his hands to draw in the air.
